Young Drivers

Some teen drivers do best with 1:1 professional driving lessons tailored to their unique learning style or needs, versus standard lessons offered in driving schools. Driving age comes at a difficult time for teen with learning difficulties. Some teens and their families make the decision to postpone driving until the late teens/ early twenties for best results and peace of mind.

Teen drivers who have grown up with developmental issues are often referred by their pediatrician, MRC counselor or parents to determine if the driver meets basic qualifications for safe driving.

All teen drivers must have a valid learner’s permit or license to be evaluated. All new drivers in Massachusetts must be road tested by the RMV (Registry of Motor Vehicles) for licensure.
